COMPLETE IN CHRIST MOMENT: Don’t be afraid to get your hopes up.

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12 NIV).  When a person is discouraged or fearful, we often hear the person say things like “I don’t want to get my hopes up” or “I am afraid to get my hopes up in this situation”.  I want to challenge and encourage you today to study the Word of God until your hopes are VERY high.  Meditate on God’s love and focus upon the promises of God, so that your hopes remain high.  Don’t be afraid to get your hopes up!  You need high hope if you are going to endure the ups and downs of everyday life. Just remember this: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).  If you are without hope, then how can you exercise your faith? Are you asking God to give substance to your dreams? Then begin by getting your hopes up. Then exercise your faith and believe that God will perform His Word.  Finally, think about His love, so that you can endure the process.  “ And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (1 Cor 13:13 NKJV).
